Visual essay inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin's Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, whose approach emphasizes the act of storytelling as an engine for the development of culture and identity.
Each individual is a container, both physical and metaphorical. Contener explores this idea through the human body in connection with the Llobregat River. The subject becomes a vehicle, collecting a rudimentary inventory of the place. The mind and the act of weaving narratives both function as a means of transmitting accumulated knowledge.
